
A veteran producer in both film and television, Dean’s production experience stretches back to a stint as a teenager helping the FX dept. on Starship Invasions fill and dress 50 adult blow-up dolls for an epic scene of destruction. Since then, he has filled roles in almost every department on film and television productions. Dean’s main aim is to work on bringing great stories, told in the best way possible, to an audience. Currently at Muse Entertainment, Dean has produced the Paramount+/CBC series For Heaven’s Sake, and has just delivered the major true crime documentary series Mr. Big for Amazon Studios. Just before this, Dean produced the digital comedy Cara Takes Up Space for OutTV GO, and the feature documentary The Real Red October for REELZ and Nat Geo TV. With a list of credits that include dramas The Five Senses, Dragonwheel, Detention, Zebra Lounge, Partners In Action, Time Of The Wolf Mayday, Jonestown Paradise Lost, Dangerous Persuasions (aka Brainwashed), Final 24, Treasures Decoded, Worst Thing I Ever Did, The Five Senses, as well as many reality shows including Stitched, Dream Funded, Mega Moves, World’s Greenest Homes, Pitchin’ In, The Closer and The Disappearing Male. Some of the main documentary titles he has produced include: Tales From The Organ Trade, Age of Anxiety, Science of the Soul, Finding Atlantis, The Resurrection Tomb and Secrets of Christianity. Dean has delivered programming to broadcasters around the world including: CBC, CBS, National Geographic TV, Discovery, Smithsonian, HGTV, TV5, BBC, and many others. To round out his extensive production experience, the height of his experience came when he donned a dragon suit to play Dudley the Dragon’s cousin Darren, a bespectacled, tennis playing dragon from another town.
